Frequently Asked Questions
How do I clean my Elliott's Bed?
The best way to clean your Elliott's bed is to use a soft, lint free dry
cloth for the brass and painted surfaces. For stubborn scuffs on the painted
surfaces use a damp cloth with a mild detergent. NEVER USE POLISH ON THE BRASS
SURFACES. IT WILL REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE CLEAR COATING.
What kind of paint is on the bed?
Elliott’s Designs uses a high grade powder paint on all of their beds. But
before the beds are painted they use a special shot blast machine to
mechanically scar the surface of the bed. This ensures that the powder coating
has the best surface to bond to.
Is that Real Brass or plated?
Elliott’s Designs uses only real brass, never plated. They bring all of their
brass to their factory in raw state. They polish all brass on site. It is then
painted with a strong and durable clear powder paint.
What type of warranty do I have?
All of the Elliott's bed have a lifetime structural warranty, a 10 year
warranty on the paint and a 1 year warranty on the brass.
Can I get replacement parts for the bed I bought 20 years ago, even
though it is discontinued?
Elliott's Designs has made over 300 styles in the last 30 years. All of
those designs have been made in their factory in Rancho Dominguez. Because they
make everything here, they can make just about any part for any of their beds.
Where are the Elliott’s Designs beds made?
Elliott’s Designs beds are made in their factory in Rancho Dominguez,
How are the beds made?
Elliott’s Designs iron beds start off as heavy gauge steel tube and rod. They
then cut and bend all of the material at the time an order is placed. Once the
materials are cut it is then taken to the foundry and their special blend of
Aluminum is used for the castings. Once the bed is poured, it is then
inspected. The bed is then hand filed and once again inspected. After filing,
the bed is then sent through the roto-blast machine where the surface of the
bed is preped for painting. The bed is then sent through the paint line where
it is inspected before it is painted. Once painted and cooled, the bed is
inspected once more before heading to packing if it is a one step finish. If it
is a premium finish the bed is then inspected and sent to Duratique where the
bed is hand painted, inspected, cured and then sent to the packaging
department. The bed is inspected one final time and foamed and boxed. Why does Elliott’s
Designs inspect the bed so much? They want to be sure you receive the highest
quality bed available.

that is in the picture?
